WHERE AND WHAT IS HAPPINESS?

Can there be happiness in this world? Where and what is HAPPINESS? Please remember! "Happiness is not outside, it is a state of calmness of the mind that one should constantly strive to preserve". 'Happiness' is not to be found in good food, if food contained happiness, then by taking more food one would feel happier, but this is far from being true. "Happiness is not in the sense objects or a nice holiday" 'Happiness' is a state of mind that makes one see thing in a positive way. Please not; "the mind is restless when it goes outward, but, during the deep sleep state, it is calm and quiet. During deep sleep the mind is at rest." The senses are not working and the breath is rhythmic, if one succeeds in keeping the senses under control and in breathing rhythmically one can attain a deep sleep-like state consciously. "To reach this state one must, first of all attain a complete clean state of no thoughts and no mind." Its sound easy, but not! Everyday, we experience wakeful, dream and deep sleep states. We have three planes of existence or bodies; one is the gross body, the second is the astral and the third body is the casual body. In the wakeful state, the body, mind and senses are all active. In the dream state the gross body is not active but the astral or subtle and casual bodies are active. Our subtle body is responsible for the dreams we experience. From the dream state we enter the deep sleep state. What happen during sleep? "When you go to sleep your consciousness separates from your body, from your senses and your mind. At this point you are in a space where nothing exists any longer." In deep sleep you are in a blissful state. This bliss lasts as long as you are in that state of deep sleep. When you wake you say; "I sleep so well, I was not aware of anything! As in deep sleep the world does not exist." In the wakeful state the mind plays in the world while in the dream state it plays with the world of experiences. In deep sleep the mind plays with ignorance. So, dear readers! 'Happiness' is being in your natural state and free from all what is unnatural. Unhappiness and restlessness are unnatural. We should get rid of them in order to be constantly content and joyful.
